Fluffy Clouds

The sun broke through today and it lifted my soul. The long grey days have been getting to me a little bit! A nice long walk in the wide open spaces of Ashton Court brought back some optimism for the future. Lets hope tonight at 7 pm Boris has a hopeful and positive mindset and we can finally see our way out of this dreadful lockdown!

Down by the Harbourside ....

Today the sun decided to shine which prompted me to get outdoors and soak up as much of it as I possibly could after a miserable few days of wet and grey. UK winters are certainly an adjustment after 20 years of living in Australia. Nothing like a brisk walk around the sunny harbour to lift your spirits. Was pretty hard to find photo inspiration today though!

a dark Day

I’ve struggled today, the lockdown really got to me. I miss my family a lot, it’s been six months since I’ve seen them as they’re up North. I miss exploring, making plans for the future and seeing people I love. Hopefully this will pass soon but I’m going to honour my feelings today.

The Last Bus

A new Netflix drama being filmed on our local downs. It’s a 10-part family sci-fi adventure called ‘The Last Bus’, an “eco fable” about machine intelligence and how humans can save the planet by working together. We wanted to get up close but security wouldn't let us hence the pixelated blurry image :-)

Urban Hike

Today we walked an interesting 11.5k through the inner city as the sun was shining gloriously and you have to make the most of it whilst it lasts! We rugged up as it was 2 degrees with a strong northerly wind but it certainly blew away the cobwebs of lockdown.

A Gothic walk

Spent the morning walking around Tyntesfield. Shame the house was closed due to Covid but was still well worth the visit to enjoy the gothic revival architecture. Lots of very cool gargoyles!

EARLY MORNING FOREST BATHING

The sun was out nice and early this morning, and, as that’s been a rare sight lately we made an early morning dash out the door to do some forest bathing to make the most of it whilst it lasted! Sure enough, by midday, we were back to grey skies. It was a most pleasant morning stroll that has set us up well for the rest of the day!
